Gathergates is an accredited member of Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and our switchboards conform to the standards of Green Building Product.
Verification Test
(known as Type Test)
GATHERGATES’ switchboards are verified by Type Test and certified in compliance with IEC Standards. Type Test is conformance testing that determines whether a product complies with the requirements of technical standard. Our switch boards were tested in ASTA (Association of Short Circuit Testing Authorities) recognized laboratory, in the ratings of 200A, 400A, 600A, 800A, 1600A, 2500A, 3200A, 4000A and 6000A.
Type Test in accordance with IEC 61439-2 comprises the following tests:
- Strength of material and parts
- Degree of protection of enclosures
- Clearances
- Creepage distances
- Protection against electric shock and integrity of protective circuits
- Dielectric properties
- Temperature-rise limits
- Short-circuit withstand strength
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Mechanical operation
We also hold the certificate of internal arc fault test in accordance with IEC 61641, Arcing class C. It is established our switchboards have ability to withstand arc faults and, should an arc fault occur, it is contained within a single compartment in the cubicle and the hot gases are diverted away from personnel.
In addition to complete assemblies, our enclosures used for switchgears are verified in accordance with IEC 62208 for Degree of Protection. With ratings from IP2X to IP65, we offer enclosures in the most suitable protection levels for intended applications.
Type Test certificates assure that we are capable of realizing required characteristics and performances in both product design and manufacturing. They are also proof of our endless endeavour towards quality, reliability and safety.
